Position Overview
PM Harbour, a young project management consulting and services company, is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to play a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth. This position requires someone with a strong sense of initiative, creativity, and resourcefulness to identify and close new client opportunities, while nurturing active client relationships. Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition & Relationship Building
- Identify, pursue, and secure new clients for PM Harbour’s consulting and staffing services.
- Develop innovative strategies to penetrate untapped markets and create opportunities in competitive industries.
- Build meaningful, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
Market Research & Strategy
- Conduct in-depth research to identify prospective clients, industry trends, and emerging opportunities.
- Develop and execute creative approaches for lead generation and business development that go beyond traditional methods.
- Proactively adjust strategies based on market feedback and evolving client needs.
Process Development
- Take initiative to create and refine sales processes and tools in collaboration with leadership.
- Work within limited sales budget to deliver results, demonstrating ingenuity and
- cost-effectiveness.
- Provide leadership in creating and optimizing internal systems to enhance client onboarding and satisfaction.
Sales Execution
- Craft compelling proposals and deliver persuasive presentations tailored to client needs.
- Drive the entire sales lifecycle, from identifying leads to closing deals, while
- ensuring client expectations are aligned with PM Harbour’s services throughout project completion.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets while contributing to the company’s broader growth objectives.
Collaboration
- Work closely with PM Harbour’s leadership team to align business development strategies with company goals.
- Provide insights and recommendations to shape PM Harbour’s service offerings and market positioning.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in a business development, sales, or client acquisition role (preferably in construction, fabrication, consulting, or professional services industries).
- Self-starter mentality with a high level of personal drive, motivation, and a passion for building something from the ground up.
- Exceptional creative problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box and the perseverance to execute & overcome challenges.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage clients at all levels.
- Highly adaptable to a fast-paced startup environment with limited formal processes or systems.
- Experience working with lean budgets and finding innovative ways to achieve results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in project management, EPC, or related professional services industries is a plus.
- Knowledgeable of marketing principles and strategies.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and lead generation systems (or the ability to create and implement them).
- Knowledge of industrial sectors such as Oil & Gas, Renewables, or specialty chemicals is a bonus.
